Things continued to get worse for NRL club South Sydney, as the proud club yesterday had to deal with salary cap breaches and the fact that several of their prominent players failed to register zero alcohol at a morning training run.
While NRL Results have been the real worry, the Bunnies losing their first 7 games straight - it's now been compounded by additional pressures. Even more scary is the fact that co-captain David Kidwell was involved with the drinking and has now been stripped of the captaincy.
The experienced Kidwell should have known better and was expected to guide the younger players through this tough time. The pressure is on everyone at the Rabbits, from coach Jason Taylor through to every single player.
As former Souths supremo George Piggins sits back and has a laugh at the new owners - expect Russell Crowe to step in and start sorting things out. Russell is just that sort of person, he cannot stand by and let things idle - he will try and grab the bull by the horns and get things rolling.
If he or Souths don't do something soon, the club could finish up winless in NRL season 2008.
