It's finally happened. South Sydney get their first NRL win and finally register some favourable NRL Results in 2008.
Supported and cheered on by co-owner Russell Crowe - in the stands for the first time this season, the Bunnies came out much more hungry then in previous weeks. They looked focused and kept their concentration for the majority of the 80 minutes.
Coach Jason Taylor would have been ecstatic with the win, Issac Luke slotting in well at halfback and giving up the hooking position for the short term it seems. Former captain David Kidwell having a big game and making up for his dramas through the week.
The opponents were the North Queensland Cowboys, but it didn't matter - Souths were eventually going to break their duck and there was going to be a team caught out no matter what. the Cowboys tried hard to make their luck, but simply couldn't dim the bright Bunny light.
Souths now move to 2 competition points and should garner some confidence from the win this weekend.
