The Bulldogs aided by a passionate Sonny Bill Williams have bounced back to form in the NRL tonight with a strong display, getting home over the Cronulla Sharks. ANZ Stadium was abuzz as the teams slugged it out for Monday night football, the usually defence oriented Sharks letting in a tonne of points as the Bulldogs found their groove.
Without the likes of Luke Patten and Willie Tonga, the Dogs were still explosive at times. Sonny Bill was at his best, silky offloads and strong running to the line. His keeness was evident as he came to blows with both Ben Ross and Greg Bird - the usually quiet Sonny Bill out of his cage on a cold winters night.
The loss sees the Sharks lose out on snatching a share of the competition lead and the Bulldogs climb their way up the NRL Table after a poor start to the season.
In other NRL Results, the Wests Tigers put on a strong showing at Liechhardt Oval to hold out a fast finishing Gold Coast Titans, with Benji Marshall, Robbie Farah and Brett Hodgson calling the shots the Tigers look a Top 8 chance come NRL finals time.
All eyes are back onto the NRL this weekend as the first regular round of matches kicks off after a series of byes for several times, before State of Origin Game 2 bursts to like in Queensland the week after.
