They are totally underrated as NRL supporters and we found out first hand after releasing a recent article citing a poor operation in Canberra and consistently poor NRL Results in the past few years.
While the passionate supporters quickly jumped to the defence of the Raiders and pointed out that the club turns a regular profit, has solid training infrastructure through the AIS and a promising coach in Neil Henry - why then, do we not see on field results year after year?
Congratulations to the supports for being so passionate, but if the players are promising and the setup is good - when can we expect a blockbuster year? Will it ever come again?
It's ok to be strong, staunch supporters but lets get realistic! If Canberra have a great setup and decent players, then we should see them break through soon I hope.
Fortunately the ACT Brumbies are struggling, so it's not wiping the Raiders away in terms of crowds - but if something doesn't improve soon, they could be forever consigned to the cellar of the NRL Rugby League competition.
