NRL Round 1 2008
March 11th 2008 03:20
It's On !
Forget the trial games, we are now playing for real NRL Results. Heading the clashes this weekend is the blockbuster between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Sydney Roosters. The inner city Rugby League derby made even sweeter by the Craig Wing movement from Bondi to Redfern and a bunch of old teammates sure to target him.
Craig Wing has been impressive for the Rabbitohs so far in 2008 and his Rugby League form during the trials has been very solid.
Souths as a whole we strong in the trials and not only did they take out the Charity Shield in 2008, beating the St George Illawarra Dragons - they also had a thumping of Cronulla thrown into the mix which is sure to please coach Jason Taylor.
Souths seem to have greater depth this year and while the Roosters too have bought well, I think the Bunnies have the edge at this stage of the early season.
Rabbitohs by 6 points.
