North Queensland Cowboys boss Peter Parr is set to sack NRL coach Graham Murray from the Townsville outfit in the coming days, as the team slumps to yet another loss in what has been a poor NRL season in 2008 for the team.
Missing State of Origin Stars Jonathan Thurston, Carl Webb and Jacob Lillyman, the Cowboys were rudderless against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and the horror NRL Results continued, seeing the Cowboys side continue to slip down the NRL Table.
With the next 3 weeks set to cause my interruption with State of Origin in full-swing, the Rugby League being played by the Cowboys simply needs to improve. Reports suggest that Graham Murray has fallen out with the senior playing group and things have continued to worsen since the announcement of Neil Henry as the 2009 coach of the Cowboys.
Murray has been at the helm of the Cowboys for several years now, and has taken them from cellar dwellers to a genuine NRL force, only faltering this year after relations have broken down. Murray is yet to setup a coaching contract for 2009 and remains on the open market hoping for work in the UK Super League at this stage.
