Jarryd Hayne banned by Parramatta Eels
March 6th 2008 06:11
Parramatta Eels officials and senior Rugby League players today moved to ban Jarryd Hayne from Round 1 of the NRL in 2008. It seems that player behavior is such a serious issue these days that clubs are willing to put NRL Results on the line.
The Eels face the Bulldogs in Round of the NRL for 2008 in what is always a bumper clash. The personal rivals have always put on a show in a nice tough derby year after year. After knocking the Dogs out of the 2007 NRL finals series, the Eels will have big targets on them and the Dogs will be happy about Hayne not being there.
It does give reserve grader Joel Reddy another shot at first grade as he continues to cement a place in the top team after years of proving himself in reserve grade.
Jarryd Hayne will return for the Eels in Round 2 where they travel to Mt Smart Stadium Auckland to face the NZ Warriors in another big match up.
