Veteran Eels forward Nathan Hindmarsh this week broke down at training, suffering a knee injury which Parramatta staff have immediately ordered to be examined by doctors this week.
In a concern for the Eels 2008 NRL campaign, the power house forward would be sorely missed should he be unavailable for any amount of games. Hindmarsh himself didn't think it was serious and felt a Round 1 NRL 2008 return was on the cards.
Eels coach Michael Hagan felt that the knee operation would be a simple and straightfoward one. Citing a need for rest and strength prior to the Rugby League season kickoff, Hagan said he certainly wouldn't rush Hindmarsh back for any trial games, certainly considering they don't affect NRL results in anyway.
