These were NRL Results that nobody could have picked, the Melbourne Storm today going down at Olympic Park against the underrated by gritty Cronulla Sharks. Bring ruthless, rocksolid NRL defence - the Sharks dug in and managed to win the match with a minute to go; Brett Kimmorley potting a 35m field goal to take the game 17-16 against his old club.
While few points were on offer, the Rugby League game had plenty for the fans. Multiple send off's after a late tackle by Ben Ross on Cooper Cronk and then a reaction of fists by Brett White - saw each team lose a player with 10 minutes to go.
The Sharks weren't pretty but Ricky Stuart has them playing some tough and uncomprimising NRL this season and after 2 wins from 2 starts the Sharks have knocked off both last years Grand Final teams in the Manly Sea Eagles and the Melbourne Storm.
How far can they go? Certainly looking like Top 8 material so far, the form of the Cronulla forwards and more so the usual suspects - Greg Bird, Paul Gallen and the reborn Brent Seymour have them playing great footy and getting them the NRL Results they need.
NRL Tipping won't be the same now, many struggling to get a single game right after so many juggled results in 2008!
