It's happened again in the space of a week, Wollongong the site of a recent Rugby League brawl has again lit up with fists flying, this time at a fast food restaurant. Sydney Roosters player Shaun Kenny-Dowell the promising Kiwi outside back was at the centre of the situation, initially losing his wallet and then confronting the thieves to retrieve the cash he had stolen.
Kenny-Dowell had left his wallet at the fast food outlet after a night on the town, it seems after he realised it was left behind and went to get it - the locals had already swiped the cash from it and tried to innocently return the wallet to a frustrated Kenny-Dowell.
Immediately asking for the cash back, Kenny-Dowell and his Roosters teammate were set up by around 10 men. It seems the Roosters boys did extremely well in the knuckle up - inflicting some decent damage on the men in greater numbers. Felling one guy and injury the other, the Roosters tried their best to get their stolen money back.
Sadly for the Roosters, the players involved and the NRL, the altercation has instantly gone back page news in many Sydney news outlets - meaning more bad headlines before we have even seen anything in the way of NRL Results in 2008.
